2001 - 2006 Ford Ranger PCM Repair
This is a repair service for the engine computer or Powertrain Control Module, (PCM) from a 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 3.0L V6 Ford Ranger that has been damaged by a failed coil pack and spark plugs. This is the most common problem with the Ford Ranger PCM and is often indicated by one or more of the following diagnostic trouble codes: P0351, P0352, P0353, P0354, P0355, P0356. The engine computer is often referred to as the ECM (Engine Control Module), ECU (Engine Control Unit), or simply as the computer.
**If the PCM has been damaged by a faulty coil pack, then the coil pack must be changed at the same time as the PCM. Based on extensive experience with these computers, we strongly recommend a genuine Motorcraft coil pack. There are many counterfeit coils on the market that claim to be Motorcraft, so be sure to order from an authorized Ford/Motorcraft distributor. We have several sources that we can recommend for these coils. Please contact us at 800-547-2049 for recommendations.**
